September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month—a time to honor the brave children who are fighting, remember those we’ve lost, and stand in solidarity with families navigating the unimaginable.
At Heroes for Children, we select a number of families each year to receive a special Childhood Cancer Awareness Month gift as a reminder that they are seen, supported, and never alone in their journey.
Families are nominated by hospital social workers who walk alongside them throughout their childhood cancer journey and understand the challenges they face beyond the hospital walls. These nominations allow us to reach families who could use an extra reminder that their community is standing with them.
