The General's Guard
For the 13th year, The General’s Guard cycling team is riding with purpose to support Heroes for Children—an organization that steps in when families need it most. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, everything changes overnight. Parents are forced to choose between being at their child’s bedside and keeping up with everyday responsibilities like paying rent, covering utilities, or even putting food on the table. Heroes for Children helps relieve that burden, providing direct financial assistance and emotional support so families can focus on what matters most—their child.
What began as a small effort has grown into a meaningful annual commitment, with more than $250,000 raised to date. This year, we’re proud to ride alongside our friends from the Why Not – CP Foundation cycling team to extend that impact even further.
On June 6, we will ride from Dallas to Cook Children's Medical Center, one of Heroes for Children's key partners. Every mile we ride represents a family getting a little breathing room during an incredibly difficult time—a bill paid, a meal covered, a moment of relief in the middle of uncertainty.
Your donation directly supports these families when they need it most. It helps ensure they are not facing this fight alone. Please consider making a contribution and being part of that support.
